Led by the worldwide famous conductor Erich Kunzel, the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra is regarded as one of the most active classical pops orchestras. The Conductor Erich Kunzel
Erich Kunzel is the most remarkable conductor at film music in the world. Invited in 1965 to conduct the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Erich Kunzel was then named as Conductor of the Cincinnati Pops in 1977. In the following 30 years they had together made huge achievements.
Erich Kunzel is skilled at combining classical music and pop music especially good at conducting the classical film music. With his efforts CDs-selling of the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra amount to as much as 8 million pieces and 80 per cent of the CDs got awards. Erich Kunzel has been awarded the title of Annual Classic & Crossover Artist for four years from 1991 to 1995.
