Maximilian Hecker (26 July 1977 in Heidenheim, Germany) is a German musician known for airy pop music, similar to bands like Air. After performing as a drummer in a number of small German bands, his demo tapes attracted the attention of Kitty-Yo Records, who released his debut album Infinite Love Songs in 2001. He has since done numerous European tours and released a number of albums, his latest effort being I'll Be A Virgin, I'll Be A Mountain, released in 2006 through V2 Records.

Born in Heidenheim in 1977, raised in East Westphalia
As a child was already a fan of the singer Melanie and the Beatles
Learned to play the recorder, then alto recorder
Had music lessons in drums and piano
Played drums, timpani and percussion in the music school big band and symphony orchestra
Has been composing songs to the guitar since 1994
Moves to Berlin in 1998
Has been composing his songs on the piano since 2000
Debut album "Infinite Love Songs" released in 2001
His second album "Rose" appears in 2003
2003/2004 world tour supported by Goethe Institute
Third album "Lady Sleep" appears in 2005
Is a passionate amateur footballer and a loner
Describes his music as "melancholy pop hymns"
Lives in central Berlin
