About Sheng Zhongguo
Chinese violinist, Sheng Zhongguo has the respect of the leaders in the music field. They praise him as an outstanding musician and the most charming violinist in China.
As the national level soloist of China National Symphony Orchestra, Sheng Zhongguo is one of the earliest soloists to earn great honor for China in the international arena.
Sheng Zhongguo was born into a musical family. His father, Sheng Xue, was a violin professor, and his mother, Zhu Bing was a singer. They raised 11 children, among whom 10 majored in music, nine played violin. In 1941, Sheng Zhongguo came into the world and he was the first child of this family. During that period, like every Chinese, what Sheng's father hoped most was China could be strong, prosperous and not be bullied by others. Consequently, he named his son Sheng Zhongguo, which could be literally translated as the prosperous China.
Sheng Zhongguo studied violin with his father starting at age 5, and then 2 years later, he performed on stage for the first time. On his 9th birthday, Wu Han Radio broadcast the program Sheng Zhongguo recorded, which fascinated listeners causing them to call him "the talented violin boy". At the concert celebrating the 200th birthday of Mozart in 1956 Sheng Zhongguo succeeded in playing Mozart's work: Concerto in A major with the Central Symphony Orchestra. In the same year, he participated in the National Music Week. In the show, he played with the Central Conservatory of Music and played Ma Sicong's work: Violin concerto, F Major. He soon gained the recognition of many in the music field.
