Zhu Yibing made history when he became the first-ever Chinese to snatch a prize at an international cello competition. Zhu learned his trade in Europe, the home of classical music. He went on to claim the enviable position of first cellist in several European symphonies.

And Zhu has brought his two decades of overseas experience and his passion for music to the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, where he now teaches. On Friday's "The List," we talk to Zhu Yibing to hear his fascinating stories with his low-pitched instrument only on Culture Express.
