"My Venus, Sea Breeze Embraces You" is a large-scale creative song and dance show produced by the China Oriental Song and Dance Ensemble. The feast features different styles of music and dance all over the world. The beautiful Arabian music, the melodious New Zealand songs, the mysterious African folk dance, the enchanting Egyptian belly dance, the gracious Burmese dance, the integrated Korean dance, the supercilious Russian dance, ebullient Spanish dance as well as the American tap dance are all pleasing to your eyes and ears.

China Oriental Song & Dance Ensemble was founded as a state class art troupe on 13 January 1962 under the auspices of the late Chinese Premier ZhouEnlai and Vice Premier Chen Yi.

It has always been this ensemble's main mission to present to the world the traditional Chinese national and folk singing and dancing art and music and dances depicting the contemporary life of the Chinese people and at the same time to intro duce to the Chinese people the splendid artistic works in singing and dancing of foreign countries.

The ensemble's unique artistic style is reflected in its exotic and spectacular performances of foreign and Chinese music and dances by its artists.

A large group of artists of great attainments and young talents have bee brought forth through many years of practice and collective efforts of several generations of "Orientals". The ensemble has accumulated. through creating and revising several hundred dances and several thousand songs and melodies of both foreign and Chinese It has been travelling across China with performances in order to enrich the cultural life of the Chinese people and also has visited more than 70 countries and regions of the five Continents for the purpose of promotion of the international cultural exchanges.

The whole staff of the ensemble will always take the instruction by the late Premier Zhou Enlai as their motto "Through deepening its reforms and perfecting its internal mechanism. The ensemble will continue its efforts to make new contributions in developing Chinese national culture, furthering international cultural exchanges and enhancing understanding and friendship between the Chinese people and the people of the whole world.
